This painting is titled "Walakantha Twins". Long ago twin boys were born in the hills of Perrederr near the Moyle River and Nardirri, they grew up and became good hunters for fish, animals and birds. One day the other brother didn't like to eat fresh water fish because they were greasy and smelly so he packed up and made his way towards the coast, burning the swamp plain as he walked thru, while the other cried for is brother to come back but gave up. After a long time they did see each other again, they both married and had children of their own and one day the brother that lived on the coast died along with his family because the waterholes filled with salt water and there was nothing to eat. While the other brother lived happily and like a king until some other tribe chased him and his family out of the swamp and back into the hills and was never seen again. This story was told by Timothy's father Memilk.
